True, but for quite some time SAN is associated with iSCSI & NAS with NFS.
And I agree with you SAN = Storage Area Network, so in fact 2 NAS
boxes would be a SAN since it's storage on the network. I think a lot
of the confusion is with the marketing, and what the corporate would
like us to use. It's nor always what we actually wanted, but we can't
say much cause it costs so damn much. And, sadly, clients associated
expensive equipment with quality, which is not always the case either.
