What do you mean with "Yet its scheduling is very implementation

The freertos provides an interface to its scheduling internals like
`vTaskSwitchContext` and `xTaskIncrementTick()`, which should be called by the
platform-specific code. I thought it is possible to alternate scheduling
behavior calling those interfaces differently.
Though, on the second thought, it would not provide enough freedom to build
something really different.

Zephyr, maybe?

OK, will look through it a bit later.
