Hello Tulasi,

I see a misspeling in my suggestion, once it is

    initrd.img-2.6.16-xen

and once

    initrd.img-2.6.16.xen

It must be exactly the same of cause, otherwise the file will not be
found by grub.

Now this looks really odd. Could you post your /etc/fstab file,
the current menu.lst and a dir of /boot ?
