If you think, you'll realize:
DomU has it's own cache (even for R/O devices) with it's impression what the 
contents of the blocks are. Dom0 also has a cache for the R/W device. Both 
caches 
do not sync (in a coherent way). Thus DomU may see filesystem inconsistencies 
at 
runtime.
Why not use NFS to export in Dom0 R/O and also mount in DomU R/O?
