[Xen-users] Re: Problem with xm migrate
I forgot to mention that even though migrate fails, ping works well.
As an example, If on PM1(Physical machine1) with IP 10.129.112.90 PM1$ xm migrate VM1 10.129.112.91 -l it sometimes does not migrate and returns prompt immediately. Here, PM2 has IP 10.129.112.91.
If later, I do PM2$ xm migrate VM2 10.129.112.90 -l and then try PM1$ xm migrate VM1 10.129.112.91 -l it works properly.

Hello,
I have installed Xen 3.10 on ubuntu 7.04 through repositories following instructions given at
http://www.howtoforge.com/ubuntu_7.04_xen_from_repositories
and have installed Dapper guest domains. xm migrate command works well sometimes but sometimes returns prompt without migrating the domain. To make it work again, I migrate some other guest domain to the physical domain where xm migrate is not working. This surprisingly makes xm migrate work without fail.
Has anybody else faced this problem? Is there any solution to this? I believe it has something to do with xen networking but don't have much idea.
Regards, Piyush
