(Sorry Mike, my mail was intended for the list and more specifically the
original poster, but you got it by accident). So here it is again on the list.
I don't have this setup, but if I were you, I would test via another tool as
well, just to see the slowness is not in part due to Firefox as well.
Try the dig command for example (if you have a linux client). You could even
add a time command in front of it to get a more precise idea of how long the
command took, like 'time dig <yourdomain>'
With dig you can also do more detailed tests, to verify if it is really your
DNS server doing the resolution.
