        This is unlikely, but any chance you have the paging file disabled?
I don't know for sure about XP, but I know 2003 can't dump with the paging
file disabled.

I don't actually get a physical memory dump (even though I have it
turned on in the System control panel).  I'm also using 1GB of RAM with
the same parameters (acpi, apic, and pae).
