[Xen-users] domU produces error when running some commands
I'm noticing a strange problem when running certain commands in the Xen domU (paravirtualized). Example:
# rpm -qpi *.rpm >/dev/null error:

The same command on the SAME SET OF FILES produces NO error when runnning on the dom0 (mgt host) or
on a standalone server. Is this a problem with Xen?
My dom0 is
running Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) 32-bit and the domUs are CentOS 4.6 32-bit.
a dom0 running CentOS 5.1 32-bit also has this same problem.
This
is strange. Any idea what could be wrong? I'm a bit concern since I'm
seeing strange behavior like this. One of our Domino application also has
problem converting XML documents as well when running in
paravirtualized mode (it works fine when running on bare metal, i.e. no virtualization).
