I have NO idea what SuSE/Novell, RedHat or any other distributor are
doing, or what they plan to do (and even if I did know, it could well
change before it's actually out there anyways).
My point is more that the Xen being distributed with some product, and
not with other products, is not a technical decision, but rather a
"productification decision". Just like when Ford builds a car, they
decide that certain models come with Air-condition as standard, others
have it as an optional extra, and in other models, you can't get air-con
at all. It's a DECISION, not that you can't technically make it happen.
To me, CIM and such are definitely targetted to the Server market, as
there's really no need to have management tools like that for desktop
machines that aren't connected to a server, so you supply the tools with
the server. Again, this is not a technical decision, but rather a
packaging/product decision. Why have a server and a desktop
distribution, if both contain the same things?
