Hi all,

anybody has fix the vif dropping packets problem. I have a pretty bad
experience here:

vif1.0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:206 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:4454 errors:0 dropped:341 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:18845 (18.4 Kb) TX bytes:354704 (346.3 Kb)

dom0 works fine, the moment I put the eth0 up in domU then packets gets
lost - also for dom0.

Tried testing first, the stable. Stable recovers quicker. I'm available
for further testing if anyone cares.

Hardware: Tyan Transport GT20 (S5151 motherboard), P4 640 (single core),
Broadcom 57xx NIC (tg3 driver). Looking to switch to new P4 940 (dual
core, VT enabled) as soon as a suitable motherboard is available.

Software: Gentoo 5.1r1 on dom0 and domU. kernel compiled as P4 optimized.

I'm fiddling with route based networking but I'd rather have the bridged networking.

Regards,

Gabriel
