Hi all. This patch introduce binary patching functionality of xenLinux/IA64. The goal is to reduce paravirtualization overhead and make it more generic rather than xen specific. I tested kernel compile on bare metal. The result doesn't show any noticiable time difference. I tried virtbench local. It showed binary patched kernel seems to be slightly faster. But the difference is very small so that I'm not sure the difference is meaningfull. thanks, -- yamahata
