The typo in Tristan's reply might be obvious, but just in
case it confused you, that should be "linux-2.6.16-xen".

Have you changed any config files?  It appears that maybe one
of the CONFIG_ACPI kernel options has been turned off?
I just changed this (as Tristan said):
 Undef HAVE_SERIALIZE_DIRECTIVE in xen/include/asm-ia64/config.h
Also, could you run an "hg tip"
in your xen-ia64-unstable.hg directory and send the result?

Sure! :)

debian-ia64:/home/peso/xen-ia64-unstable.hg# hg tip
changeset:   9859:adb151aaf3f8
tag:         tip

Dan
I`m still testing the "make vmlinux" as Tristan said! :)
 Thanks.
