Hello there everyone, it's me again to annoy you guys some more:

Ok, we got it all to work, there are a few questions, however, that we would like to ask before we start writing a documentation the Xen/ia64 compilation/installation we are planning for next week. Some of those questions (that didn't matter as far a 'getting it to work' goes) we've had since the beginning of the project but we 'safely' stored them only to ask all at once.

1) We haven't really tested it but is it possible to compile the Xen kernel with 32bit software support? There are some regular Linux 32bit-only apps that we ran on ia64 with the common ia64 kernel but not with Xen's the way we regularly build it.

2) For some reason, when the Xen kernel is booted, no system message is displayed at all. When it starts booting we get the Penguin and no text then, after a while, we get the login prompt, same thing we any other system message. All other distribution kernels we used worked well, we suppose it has to do with the system log output (aiming at the serial or some other place) or something.

erm... I'm pretty sure we have some more technical questions related to the compilation but unfortunely I'm running out of time today so let's keep these 2 questions to discuss first.
