I am pretty sure that is still the case, I tested it a few days
ago on x86_32, x86_64 and ia64 and it seemed to work as before.

One gotcha that I have noticed is that if linux- is 
already seeded, and buildconfigs/linux-defconfig_xen_ARCH is
subsequently updated, the change does not seem to be picked up.
Generally at that point I just deal with ref-linux-
Though dealing with linux- is a daily battle.
