------- Comment #8 from volker.simonis@xxxxxxxxx 2008-12-08 05:00 -------
Hi,

I have just tested the new hypervisor an I couldn't reproduce the problem any
more. So from our perspective, the patch seems to fix the bug (thank you Isaku
for the fast patch!). What is your opinion now: will the fix be the "offcial"
resolution of this problem or will there be a better solution.

In the context of Alex's concerns, I'm especially interested if this patch is
at least a valid solution for the problem, because I would like to escalate it
at RedHat such that it gets fixed with the next possible update in RHEL. This
bug may potetnially affect our complete software stack, if the customer runs it
virtulized inside Xen/IA64, so fixing it in the certified Linux distributions
(at least RedHat ans SuSE) as fast as possible seems reasonable.

Could you therefore please comment on the status of this bug and change the
status field approriately if possible.

Thank you very much for your great support and assistence,
Volker
