[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1164] Dom0 "BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!", (ntpd?
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1164
------- Comment #2 from chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2008-03-21 06:49 -------
I can also say that I have been having the same problem.
Enabling VCPUs / more than 1 (Default) causes Soft lockups and in turn the
machine usually has kernel panic or will continuously reboot.
I only know of one Kernel at the moment in which VCPUS work properly, and thats
with an old kernel provided with CentOS 5/RHEL5 2.6.18-8.1.15.el5xen.
All of the Xen enabled kernels provided with CentOS/RHEL/Fedora 2.6.18-53.1.xx
have the same issue.
>From looking through the bugzilla this same problems goes back as far as 2006,
so I really hope a solution will be available soon!
