Summary: Xend requests are executed synchronously, but return
                    immediately to xm
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: jyoung5@xxxxxxxxxx

Problem:
xend handles requests synchronously so if it is handling one request, it will
not be able to handle other requests. Since xm uses simple HTTP requests, it
does not always know that a request has actually been fully completed when it
returns. In certain circumstances, especially when executing commands rapidly,
it is possible to have commands randomly fail because Xend is occupied doing
something else when the request occurs.

Possible Solution:
The xend request handling code should be completely synchronous and block xm
invocations until Xend is ready for the next request.
