That one's not right. Your transfer is only 15.6 KB, plus the Broken pipe.

yes, that's what I have as well. It's more than enough for my needs
though, so I can live with that.

Try disabling iptables on both domUs, see if it matters.
I experienced something like this when testing Windows <-> Linux with
different versions of iperf (iperf-2.0 on Linux vs 1.7 on Windows).
