No idea. What does lspci -v tell you? Mine says:

Can you also do the xenstore-ls on the backend? Eg from your line above:
backend = "/local/domain/0/backend/vif/12/0"
do 'xenstore-ls /local/domain/0/backend/vif/12/0'
