I can confirm Xen does work with QEmu/no acceleration, but I haven't
managed to get it to work with QEmu+the latest KVM kernel module for
hardware virtualisation. It just pauses at the line:
(XEN) Xen trace buffers: disabled
 
for KVM, when they merged the new fast mmu branch, they also broke Xen.
 
Thanks for the info. Do you know if they have fixed anything in any bleeding 
edge versions, or is this likely to remain broken in the name of speed?
