[Xen-users] Using Xen from within VMWare
| Hi,
I'm trying to set up a Xen system within VMWare (using a physical disk for
access).
When booting into dom0, everything goes well until the kernel tries to access
the disk. From here on, things go very slow and the host's CPU usage shoots
up to maximum. I can only guess here that it is the disk access that is
causing things to slow down extremely - perhaps it's decided to use PIO or
something?
I even get crazy message when booting like "Timer ISR/0: Time went backwards",
but I don't feel any younger.
Can anyone shed any light and possibly a solution on this?
Host distro: Ubuntu 6.10
VMWare dom0 distro: Debian Etch, Xen kernel 2.6.18-3
TIA,
Marc
