Thanks for the tip. It got me one step further. Now I get this message:

Using config file "/etc/xen/test.vmx".
VNC= 1
Started domain ExampleVMXDomain
xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory

I've created the console and tty* nodes statically in /dev in the guest
image. This also happens with the debian sarge image from OS Zoo.

Any help would be appreciated.
