Hi All,

I am running "2.6.18-128.1.10.el5xen" kernel as Dom0 on the machine that has dual socket quad-core AMD Opteron and is running CentOS 5.3.  Now I tried to start the Dom U on the machine and downloaded an image from stacklet.com. Here's my config file.

kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5xen"
ramdisk = "/boot/initrd-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5xen.img"
memory = "256"
name = "debian.5-0"
vcpus=1
vif = ['']
dhcp = "dhcp"
disk = ['file:/opt/xen/debian-5.0/debian.5-0.x86.img,sda,w']
root = "/dev/sda ro"
extra = 'xencons=tty'

When I do am 'xm create cfgfile -c' everything seems to be loading correctly until i get this:

USB Mass Storage support registered.
device-mapper: uevent: version 1.0.3
device-mapper: ioctl: 4.11.5-ioctl (2007-12-12) initialised: dm-devel@xxxxxxxxxx
device-mapper: dm-raid45: initialized v0.2429
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Strangely, the domu is running and I can see it running when I am doing xm list but I cannot do xm console because I get that Kernel Panic error.

[root@vmtest debian-5.0]# xm list
Name           ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State   Time(s)
Domain-0        0     7660     8 r-----    448.1
debian.5-0    142      256     1 -b----      0.3

I am sure it has got something to do with my 'disk' and 'root' options in the config file or it might have something to do with the fact that I am running both dom0 and dom U on the same node. But I am not able to figure out what it is even after trying lot of things from the previous threads on this topic.

Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong? I am relatively new at this.

Thanks.
