My series is on top of staging and I already have a backport to 4.9 and 4.10 stable published. I will cherry pick as much as I can from Wei's branch this morning and send out a v3. I will try to close the migration, hotplug, ballooning gap. I do think it's useful for folks to review the series deeply. It's not that big so it should take all that long to do so. I think v3 of my series is likely the closest to something that can be merged this week.
