I use windows 8.1 under xen 4.5 with qemu git and seabios git. It works very well. I can shutdown and reboot all day, but i cant reboot it makes windows 8 try to repair itself. It seems that with win 7 you need to eject your video card. There is a script for that.

I hope that vga=none will get more patchingÂ
