I hadn't run Xen 4.4 on this box before so the issue might have
happend much earlier.

You are getting some console corruption, even with sync_console.

Also, can you try iommu=debug apic_verbosity=debug ?

Could this perhaps be because you have manually set up the interrupt for com1 ?
