[Xen-devel] Exception starting xen

One of my servers ran out of space this morning, and after clearing the errant 
logfile, xend would no longer start, and a bit of debugging showed that 
/var/lib/xend/state/ppci.xml was truncated - most likely as a result of running 
out of space. After deleting this file xend recreated it and all is working 
again.

I know I'm still using xm on 4.2 which is considered deprecated, but what are 
these files for? And is the recreated version sufficient? And if so why is the 
previous content important?
