1: x86/EFI: pass boot services variable info to runtime code
2: EFI: update error indicators

The first, while possibly looking like a feature addition, is really the
foundation for a kernel side firmware bug workaround.

The second is mostly cosmetic, so I think both should be fine to
apply despite the feature freeze.
