This is probably not related.

I try to run qxl, and found the same issue as you, Xorg-server
segfault. But I see that Xen give an error message:
(XEN) emulate.c:97:d24 bad mmio size 16
(XEN) io.c:199:d24 MMIO emulation failed @ 0033:7ff5dd8d7938: f3 0f 6f
19 f3 0f 6f 51 10 f3

That probably why qxl does not work with Xen.
