It's Exchange which mangles mails in this way on the receiving end :-(

It appears that gmail sends out a multipart mail with a pretty HTML
version and a proper plain text part (e.g. using ">" style
quoting etc). For some reason Exchange throws away the plain text part and
rerenders the HTML part badly to form the unreadable plain text part you
see on your end.

AFAIK Citrix IT have raised a bug with MS about this.

A workaround might be to ask folks using gmail to turn off the HTML
option (assuming there is such), at least when posting to xen-devel. Not
ideal though.
