resources google spit out and magicaly it worked! but dont expect me to know
why ;)
... sorry i can't tell you which threads these exactly were.... but except
for "05_sound-makefile" you should recognice them if compared to your 3.5-
unstable patches.

Dear Tobias Geiger,

May I know from which xen-devel mailing list thread did you get the
Intel VGA passthrough patches from?

Thank you very much for your kind attention.

Dear Weidong (Intel),

May I know what are the detailed steps to (VGA) passthrough my NVIDIA
GeForce 8400 GS PCI Express x16 secondary graphics card to Windows HVM
domU in Xen 4.1-unstable? I have had success with VGA passthrough in Xen
3.5-unstable but have not tried Xen 4.1-unstable yet.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

Hi,

i use Xen version 4.1-unstable, xen_changeset : Fri May 07 19:22:28 2010

with these patches:

Dear Tobias Geiger,

I am quite sure you have applied the Intel gfx passthru/VGA passthrough
patches meant for Xen 3.5-unstable to Xen 4.0.X. As a result of applying
*outdated* patches to the latest Xen 4.0.X, you could possibly have
encountered failed hunks or errors during patching. Have you noticed
that?

Xen 4.0.X supports Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough only.
Secondary add-on PCIe graphics card VGA passthrough is not supported
yet.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.

Hi!

Just wanted to mention, that with my passthrough-setup (i.e. not with
IGD but with nvidia) i also get a very similar error (0x00000116) when
booting windows7 - not with windows xp;

see
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2010-06/msg00243.htm
l

Still no news regarding the cause...

Greetings
Tobias

At one point we had seen a crash like this using igd pass-through -
same bugcheck and symptoms. When we moved to a newer version of the
Intel graphics drivers, we did not continue to see the issue. Do you
have the very latest driver package for Vista/Win7?

Thanks
Ross

Dear All,

Please refer to screenshot of BSOD for Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise

Dear All/Everybody,

The driver igdkmd64.sys that crashed in Microsoft Windows 7
Enterprise 90-day Trial HVM virtual machine VGA Passthrough appears
to be an Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver/Intel Graphics
Accelerator Driver. Please refer to the following link.

http://www.faultwire.com/file_report/igdkmd64.sys.html

Please *DO* watch my short Youtube video clip describing the
BSOD/error. It is only 1 min 16s in length.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.
