I think 'nv' driver doesn't have any 3D acceleration.

The opensource 'nouveau' driver has (some) 3D acceleration for some
cards..

Did you google for Xen-patches for the binary/proprietary nvidia driver? 

Some people got it to work with some extra patches for the kernel
module..
