Can you attach the full serial console output (that includes Xen bootup, kernel
logs, and then lastly the error you are seeing).

But you have a dmesg which implies you did boot the dom0?
So what is hanging? Grub2?

You can buy two DB9-RJ-45 adapters (like this one: 
http://www.pccables.com/01910.htm)
and use a RJ-45 cable between. This way you can even have a 100m null modem 
cable between.
