Vanilla 2.6.30.1 may be xenified via Andy Lyon's patch set (aka Suse), i.e.
to be able Support Xen in Dom0. View :-

http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/07/07/building-xenified-2-6-30-1-kernel-via-xen-patches-2-6-30-2-tar-bz2/

It's also seems to be pretty stable at runtime under Xen 3.4.1 Hypervisor.
I didn't test 2.6.30.2 , but you may try to apply Andy's patch set and see
what happens.

Boris.

Thank you! I will go and check it out.

Another question: The latest stock kernel 2.6.30.2 from kernel.org is paravirt-ops enabled (since 2.6.20) but it does not support Xen Dom 0? Only Jeremy's pv_ops enable kernel support Xen Dom 0?

The other approach to use Xen is not to use pvops enabled kernel but to apply patches to the stock kernel to Xenify it?

If you checked out :-

 git checkout origin/xen-tip/next -b xen-tip/next

then try another branch

 git checkout origin/rebase/master -b rebase/master

First one may be outdated in meantime.

Address it to Jeremy Fitzhardinge, for qualified respond.

Boris.

Hi All,

I followed the instructions here at http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/setup-fedora-11-pv-domu-at-xen-3-4-1-dom0-kernel-2-6-30-rc6-tip-on-top-of-fedora-11/

However, when I do a "make menuconfig", I cannot see any XEN related configuration options. What am I missing?

Thank you.
