The message just means that trace records are currently not being dumped.
xenmon/xentrace trigger this trace collection.

Hi,
I have some confusion of building xen. When I do a  "xm dmesg", the output
gives me
(XEN) Xen trace buffers: disabled.
However, I still can use xenmon to get the trace information. Is this a bug of
xm dmesg?

Second, in the user manual, it says trace is only enabled in the debug mode.
But by default building xen is not
in debug mode. So I think now trace is by default enabled in the build process
whatever debug or not. Is the correct?
Thanks.
