Thank you very much!
I use this to set my virtual machine ip address, but the problem still comes. Although I use ip=XX in the cfg file, but when the virtual machine was created, it still use dhcp, can you tell me how to config vif in detail? Such as how to config the netmask and gateway?

I doubt that it is dhcp that cause this problem

Jian,

How you are setting your static ip? Try to use:

dhcp = 'dhcp'
vif = [ 'ip=192.168.1.10, mac=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX, bridge=xenbr0' ]

Thank you for your reply!
Yes, I am using bridges. I created a virtual machine by xm create *.cfg, by default, the ip address was allocated by dhcp, but I changed it to static ip in the virtual machine, then if I ping 192.168.1.1 in our LAN, it can lasts only a few secondes, then the connection was lost.
Besides, this problem only comes with fedora6 virtual machine, it doesn't appears in windows xp virtual machine.
can you help me ?

Thank you very much!

Probably you are using bridges, correct?

If you use bridges you need to dhclient xenbrX  or fix a static ip number.

Explain better your problem, i can
