Well, at the risk of prolonging a pointless argument, in this case the
code is not sufficient.  All the code does is show you the writer's
understanding of the device protocol, it tells you nothing about
protocol features that are not implemented in the driver (ignoring
issues of the writer misunderstanding the protocol).  I discovered this
the hard way when I based the Summagraphics emulation on the Linux
driver, turns out that driver didn't implement some of the protocol
features that the Windows driver depended upon.  I needed the protocol
specification before I could get the emulation to work on Windows.
