[Xen-devel] Testing status of fully virtualized guests (Intel VT) on 64bit XEN unstable

We are running nightly automated tests of fully virtualized (HVM) guests on
the 64bit XEN unstable tree and thought it would be useful to share the test
results with others.  The results will track a 5 day rolling window and be
identified by the changeset # we built from.  For failures, I'll attach some
log data showing more details on the failures.

If anyone needs more detail on the tests run or any of the failures, please
feel free to contact me.

Test Configuration:
Dell Precision WorkStation 380, Dual Core, 2GB, 3 SATA Disks (Intel VT)
64bit XEN Hypervisor on a RHEL4U2 64bit root (/dev/sda)
32bit fully virtualized (HVM) guest RHEL4U2 256MB (/dev/sdb)
      pae=1, acpi=1, apic=1
      kernargs clock=pit
64bit fully virtualized (HVM) guest RHEL4U2 256MB (/dev/sdc)
      pae=1, acpi=1, apic=1
      kernargs clock=pit noapic

Boot Tests:
Boot a fully virtualized (HVM) guest to the login prompt
Results are marked Pass|Fail where (n) points to a short failure description

Regression Tests:
851 tests (850 ltp tests and one 30 minute user load test)
Tests are marked #Pass/#Fail where (n) points to a short failure description

Boot Test Failures:
1. [fixed in Changeset 9724] (XEN) HVM_PIT:missed ticks < 0
2. "(XEN) Failed vm entry, domain_crash_sync called from vmx.c" on first guest
   boot attempt after booting XEN, succeeds on subsequent attempts
3. domU hangs on boot after "Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel."
4. [fixed in Changeset 9744] dom0 GPF panic in do_page_fault
5. "(XEN) spurious IRQ irq got=-1" on XEN console

Regression Test Failures:
1. 32bit UP guest fail ltp gettimeofday02 with "Time is going backwards"
2. 64bit SMP guest report these messages the XEN console during testing:
   (XEN) <vlapic_accept_irq>level trig mode repeatedly for vector 252
3. 64bit SMP guest fails ltp aio-stress tests, domU hangs
