Bah, rubbish.  Open source development was never driven by user
demand, it's driven by developer preference.  If you want to use open
source software, become a developer.  That's why open source software
is experiencing a boom - not because it's getting better, but because
more people is becoming developers.  Drop the survey, just sit tight
and wait for patches to roll in :-).
