Anybody knows why tpmif_tx_interface_t declares an union like below
(union has only 1 item)?

typedef struct {
    union {
        tpmif_tx_request_t  req;
    } ring[TPMIF_TX_RING_SIZE];
} tpmif_tx_interface_t;
