I think this is not the case, and architectures really do need to
be changed to know about the pud level pgd -> pud -> pmd -> pte.

Since users frequently want to be able to use kernels other than the
most recent, we're going to need to think about how best to separate xen
bug fix patches from patches associated with kernel upgrades. We might
be best off creating a linux bk tree for every kernel version, and try
to pull down bug fixes into each tree. Sounds like a right pain...

I suspect that might be a waste of your time - better let distro
kernel hackers take care of that for you.
