This was about the Dell machines which (we think) need the bnx2
firmware, not about the AMD machine whose BIOS we are having
difficulty getting serial access to.

I have created the alias, but it will take up to I think maybe 12h for
our outsourced spamfilter to permit this address.  I will test it
tomorrow.

I have created

newcastle.test-lab      IN A    205.237.98.146
gateshead.test-lab      IN A    205.237.98.147

(earlier) and

logs.test-lab   300     IN CNAME newcastle.test-lab
ssh.test-lab    300     IN CNAME newcastle.test-lab

(today), in both xen.org and xenproject.org.

So, something like

  # assumes vm is running on newcastle and we are to overwrite gateshead
  gateshead# mount /dev/vg1/www /mnt

  newcastle# lvcreate -n www-snap -s /dev/vg1/www
  newcastle# mount -r /dev/vg1/www-snap /mnt
  newcastle# rsync -aH --numeric-ids --delete /mnt/. root@gateshead:/mnt/.
