Thread-topic: run domU w/ higher kernel version as dom0

Hey folks,

Currently I am running a domU with 2.6.26-2-xen-amd6 on a 2.6.18-5-xen-amd64 host. I didn’t expect it to work but atm it runs without errors.

Am I right when saying that this will only be a problem if certain xen calls are made which are available to the child but are not in the host? Do I have to expect an unstable DomU?

Thanks for helping me understand.

Regards

Thomas
