RE: [Xen-users] HVM XVDA or HDA ?
Hi,
Sorry im not quite following. I have just set xvda in my file config
and windows boots ok. I read in another post that using xvda with pv
drivers offers performance increase?
When you say bios emulation, do you mean the hvm loader bios?

You will need hda for hvm on dom0 side for the bios emulation. In later
kernels on domU side (2.6.38+) you will need hda on dom0 side (in
xmconfig.cfg) and xvda on domU side (in fstab) or simply uuids to get
along.
That doesnt affect your win2008 HVMs, of course, but as i said, you will
need hda for bios emulation.
