I just ran into this problem and wanted to forward it to the list because I wasn't getting an error message or prompt like the bug suggests. Basically if you have a invalid fstab entry or a missing drive to which the fstab references Lucid can hang indefinitely until you press the S to skip the particular drive after which it will finish booting.
