I would suggest debian is a good distribution for any new app you are 
trying out since most of the (i guess) developers i suppose use debian and
debian has a good support group too.

Since only debian squeeze has a precompiled package, I guess xen hypervisor 
developers are using debian squeeze.
If so, I may exchange my platform to debian squeeze to save my time to get 
things and new features/Apis work.
