Hi,

I just installed Debian 5.0 64bit + Xen 3.4.1 from sources + 2.6.31
aka Susexenified kernel on
new SuperMicro server with single Nehalem Xeon E5520.

2.6.31 kernel is working w/o problem, even onboard Intel gigabit NICs
are ok with igb driver compiled in.

Problems:

1) when booted to xen kernel I can't access console over IPMI "remote control".
I can see console but cannot type anything
    I tried console=vga, console=tty0, console=hvc, console=xvc in
dom0 grub config but nothing works

2) unixbench
When I run unixbench tool on pure debian kernel 2.6.26 the final
score on single CPU E5520 is around 830 points
When I run same tool on xen dom0 with 2.6.31 kernel than the score
is aroun 370 points only
I was suspecting hypethreading but disabling it in bios doesnt
make big difference.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Br

Peter Braun
