Indeed it does. 

I have a Win2K3 VM moved from a Dell 2900III with a Perc6i diskcontroller to a 
Dell T605 with a Perc6i diskcontroller. So the diskcontroller is the same 
(underlying disks is SCSI on PE2900 and SATA on T605) but everything else is 
different.

The VM is running with no problems.
