[Xen-users] vmx with SU3500 CPU
Hi,
i got a Acer travelmate 8371 with a Intel SU3500 CPU. I use OpenSuse
11.1. When i boot the default kernel, /proc/cpuinfo shows the vmx flag.
But when i boot the Xen kernel, xm dmesg shows the lines:
(XEN) CPU0: VMX disabled by BIOS.
(XEN) VMX: failed to initialise.
(XEN) CPU0: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Solo CPU U3500 @ 1.40GHz stepping 0a
(XEN) Total of 1 processors activated.
and /proc/cpuinfo has vmx flag missing. Does xen detect the CPU wrong?
I'm using:
(XEN) Xen version 3.3.1_18546_16-0.1.1 (abuild@) (gcc version 4.3.2
[gcc-4_3-branch revision 141291] (SUSE Linux) ) Thu May 14 20:37:39 UTC 2009
(XEN) Latest ChangeSet: 18546
Thanks for help
Flo
