Thread-topic: [Xen-users] XEN Infiniband
Hi Houssem,

I think Infiniband passthrough support is already pretty good under Xen which
should allow for reasonably efficient cluster interconnect but I have not tried
it; I'm sure some one else more knowledgeable can answer more accurately on
this.

Currently machine migration is by TCP/IP only. I use IPOIB (IP Over Infiniband)
with Xen migration and it works well (Performance is about the same as 10Gb
Ethernet). If RDMA migration support is added migration performance would be
approx 2 to 4 times faster, it might get considered for Xen 4.0 (I have already
asked), if you would like RDMA migration support then let Stephen Spector know:
stephen.spector@xxxxxxxxxx

You might get very knowledgeable responses on infiniband specific questions
here general@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Avoid asking very generalised questions,
research first!)

Rob

Hello

Thank you for your answer
I am looking for the Infiniband for the cluster Interconnect and
more especially for the Virtual machines migration.

With my best greetings
